2019 ISoF Best Paper Award

Ce samedi 8 juin 2019, Rozenn Perrigot, Professeur et Directrice du Centre sur la Franchise & le Commerce en Réseau à l’IAE Rennes – Université de Rennes 1 a reçu le Best Paper Award lors de la 33ème conférence annuelle de l’International Society of Franchising qui se tenait du 6 au 8 juin 2019 à Vienne en Autriche. Un total de 28 recherches ont été présentées lors de ces trois jours. Rozenn y présentait deux papiers, celui ayant reçu le Best Paper Award s’intitule Resale Pricing as Part of Franchisor Know-How, il est co-écrit avec Begoña LOPEZ-FERNANDEZ – University of Oviedo (Espagne), Guy BASSET – University of Rennes 1 (France), et Olivier HERRBACH – University of Bordeaux (France). Dans cet article, Rozenn et ses co-auteurs démontrent que les prix de vente recommandés font partie des savoir-faire de métier et organisationnels du franchiseur.

Students of the Master in Franchising, Retail & Service Chains at Franchise Expo Paris 2019

« Franchise Expo Paris – held on March 17-20, 2019 – was an eye-opening experience for us. We went there for 2 full days and it was surprisingly much bigger than what we had expected. There were about 500 franchisors, from France and foreign countries.

We met many alumni of the Master in Franchising, Retail & Service Chains from the Graduate School of Management (IGR-IAE Rennes) – University of Rennes 1 – Rennes – France. We attended a few conferences and networked with many professionals who were promoting their franchise chains.

Franchisors and their staff were extremely friendly and openly shared with us about their development strategies, financial requirements to join their chain and what they provide to their franchisees.

Everything there was a real source of additional knowledge for us in the field of franchising, retail and service chains. In short, it was a lived experience of what we learnt in the program of our « Master in Marketing – Franchising, Retail & Service Chains ». These two days at Franchise Expo Paris are a significant added-value for us, before we join headquarters of franchise chains for our internship. »
